Before submission, the formatting risk is not only visual. Word fields, headings, captions, footnotes, section breaks, and PDF export all need to be checked against the university guideline.

- The document uses the required font, size, spacing, margins, and alignment.
- The table of contents is generated from headings and is not handmade.
- Lists of figures and tables are generated from real captions.
- Images remain present after formatting and PDF export.
- Footnotes, references, and URLs remain unchanged.
- Front matter and body page numbering follow the guideline.
- The final DOCX and PDF open without warnings.
What not to do near the deadline
Do not paste a finished thesis into a new template without checking captions, footnotes, and page sections. Do not manually type a table of contents or list of figures if the university expects clickable navigation.
