ThesisFormatter

Final submission check

Thesis formatting before submission

Before submission, the formatting risk is not only visual. Word fields, headings, captions, footnotes, section breaks, and PDF export all need to be checked against the university guideline.

Final formatting checks

  • The document uses the required font, size, spacing, margins, and alignment.
  • The table of contents is generated from headings and is not handmade.
  • Lists of figures and tables are generated from real captions.
  • Images remain present after formatting and PDF export.
  • Footnotes, references, and URLs remain unchanged.
  • Front matter and body page numbering follow the guideline.
  • The final DOCX and PDF open without warnings.

What not to do near the deadline

Do not paste a finished thesis into a new template without checking captions, footnotes, and page sections. Do not manually type a table of contents or list of figures if the university expects clickable navigation.
